Affiliate Disclosure & Editorial Policy

Our commercial relationships

Digs Guide is an independent comparison and review site. We earn revenue in two ways:

• Affiliate referrals. When you click a link to a provider and make a booking or enquiry, we may receive a referral fee. This costs you nothing — the provider pays us a commission for sending them a qualified lead.
• Featured listings. Some providers pay to appear in sponsored placements marked clearly as "Featured" or "Sponsored." These placements are separate from our editorial rankings and do not affect review scores.

All affiliate links and sponsored placements are clearly labelled. If you see a "Get a Quote" or "Visit Site" button, assume it may be an affiliate link.

Editorial independence

Our review scores and editorial conclusions are determined independently of commercial arrangements. Providers cannot pay to improve their scores, remove negative findings, or influence the content of their reviews.

The same scoring methodology applies to every provider — whether or not they have a commercial relationship with us. You can read the full details on our How We Rate page.

If a provider contacts us to dispute a score, we will review the evidence and update our findings if warranted — but we will not alter scores in response to commercial pressure.

How our reviews are produced

Reviews on Digs Guide are produced by our editorial team using a combination of:

• Direct testing of booking and enquiry processes
• Analysis of publicly available pricing, terms, and policies
• Review of independently sourced contractor feedback
• Assessment of provider websites, contracts, and cancellation terms

Where we have received free access or samples from a provider for review purposes, this is disclosed within the relevant review page.

Accuracy and updates

Pricing, availability, and policies in contractor accommodation change frequently. We aim to review and update scores at least every six months, but we cannot guarantee that all information is current at the time you read it.

Always verify current pricing and availability directly with the provider before making a booking decision.

Regulatory compliance

Digs Guide operates in compliance with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines and, where applicable, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) disclosure rules.
